Angel Wings Social Badminton. How we keep sessions friendly, fair, and fun.

Last updated: 17 May 2026

Welcome to Angel Wings

Angel Wings is a social badminton community in Birmingham. We are here for good games, good people, and a relaxed space where players can enjoy badminton without awkward pressure.

It is called Social Badminton for a reason. The people matter as much as the rallies.

Session Atmosphere

Our sessions work best when people bring warmth, patience, and a bit of humour. Say hello, rotate in kindly, help newer players settle, and keep the mood positive even when the scoreline gets spicy.

Booking & Commitment

Please only book if you genuinely plan to attend. Places are limited, and each booking affects court planning, player balance, and whether someone else can join.

If your plans change, let the organiser know as early as possible.

Gameplay & Rotation

We aim for fair game time and sensible rotations. You may be mixed with different partners, levels, and play styles so everyone gets a good session overall.

Not every game will be perfectly matched, but the goal is always a fair, enjoyable night across the whole session.

Inclusivity & Skill Levels

All suitable social badminton levels are welcome. Be encouraging with newer players, respectful with stronger players, and honest about your own level so games can be balanced properly.

Respect & Boundaries

Respect people on and off court. No harassment, pressure, unwanted flirting, repeated unwanted messages, or behaviour that makes someone feel uncomfortable.

Please do not send unsolicited DMs to players from the group. If someone does not reply or seems uncomfortable, leave it there.

Communication & Group Etiquette

Keep community chats useful, friendly, and relevant to Angel Wings sessions. Session questions, updates, lifts, lost property, and friendly badminton chat are all welcome.

Try not to flood the group, argue publicly, or make the chat stressful for others.

Community Behaviour

Bring the energy you would want to receive. Be kind, include others, avoid cliques where possible, and help keep the group feeling open rather than intimidating.

Fair Play & Sportsmanship

Call lines honestly, respect the score, avoid blaming partners, and keep competitive moments healthy. We like good games. We do not need court drama.

Photos & Social Media

Photos or videos may occasionally be taken at sessions and used for Angel Wings community, promotional, or social media purposes.

If you have concerns about appearing in media, please speak to the organiser. We will do our best to be respectful and practical.

External Promotion & Group Focus

Please do not use Angel Wings spaces to promote competing badminton groups, privately recruit members elsewhere, or redirect the community away from its purpose.

This is not about being possessive. It is about protecting the trust, focus, and atmosphere that people came here for.

Safety & Wellbeing

Play responsibly, warm up properly, and stop if you feel injured, unwell, or unsafe. Look out for people around you and give others enough space on and off court.

Organiser Discretion

Organisers may step in where needed to protect safety, fairness, session quality, or the wider community atmosphere.

Most issues can be handled with a friendly word. If something more serious happens, the organiser may remove someone from a session or community space.
